Now, begin making changes while ensuring that you fulfill all of the president’s promises. What were the three largest cuts you made, and why did you choose these three areas? Please explain your answer in at least three complete sentences.

Answer

As president, I would implement the three major cuts in taxes, government spending, and redundant ministries or departments. The first significant cut would be tax reductions; lowering taxes means individuals have more disposable income to spend on goods and services, thereby stimulating economic growth. This approach also reduces the tax advantages enjoyed by the wealthy, who often evade taxes through charitable donations. The second major cut would involve slashing government spending, particularly by reducing the salaries of career politicians by 30% to 40%. Since the government is the largest consumer of capital and the least effective at generating it, large salaries for politicians are unsustainable. By making this cut, we can ease the burden on taxpayers and redirect needed funds toward essential services like health and education. Finally, I would focus on trimming down unnecessary departments and ministries. While certain departments like Agriculture and Interior must remain separate, others, such as Labor and Treasury, can be consolidated to decrease the number of departments and lower overall government expenses. These three areas represent the most impactful cuts I would pursue as president.
